After four studio releases, an acoustic EP and a live album, Rocketown Records is releasing this summer the definitive collection of Ginny Owens' greatest hits. Titled after her career-defining song, If You Want Me To: The Best of Ginny Owens will release Aug. 8. A consummate songwriter and performer, Owens rÈsumÈ consists of three Dove Award wins, including New Artist of the Year, as well as a host of mainstream television appearances. Most recently, Owens appeared on CNN to educate viewers about the non-profit organization she launched in 2005, the Fingerprint Initiative, and its ongoing work with Habitat for Humanity and Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts.

Rocketown Records President Don Donahue said, "After my first listen to this collection of songs, each one took me to a different memory, a different moment. Ginny writes bookmarks in time. She's the kind of artist who makes this industry great--humble, talented, Godly and wise, a hard worker and a friend."

In addition to past radio hits and songs that reveal Owens' insightful and profound writing, the anticipated best of collection also features two new tracks. The first, "Wonderful Wonder," is a new version of a song from Owens' last studio release Long Way Home, that was produced this time around by Dove Award-winning Producer of the Year Ed Cash. The other new track, "Open Arms," was written and produced by Owens' label mate, Shawn Lewis (from RKT band Hyper Static Union), and will be serviced to radio stations.

Gospel Music Channel is premiering this Saturday, Sept. 2, a live performance they filmed with Ginny Owens earlier this year. This will be a part of the Channel's Front Row Live series, and it will air at 9 pm ET/8 pm Central. Gospel Music Channel can be seen on DirecTV in all the markets below as well on a number of cable carriers nationwide.
